🌿 Reishi Mushroom Cultivation in Vietnam
Reishi mushrooms (Ganoderma lucidum) are highly valued medicinal fungi. In Vietnam, they are primarily grown under forest canopies, such as acacia plantations, combining ecological sustainability with high economic value.
🧑🌾 Cultivation Process and Yield
Reishi can be harvested 3–4 times a year, with each crop taking 3–4 months to mature. On average, 1,000 substrate bags yield 120–150 kg of dried mushrooms. Initial investment for 1,000 bags is around 40 million VND, and planting on 40 hectares can generate annual profits of 3.5–4 billion VND.

🌱 Forest-Based Model
In Gia Lai province, growing Reishi under a 3-year-old acacia forest produced 850 kg of fresh mushrooms (~400 kg dried) in 3 months. With a selling price of 30–35 USD/kg, each kg of dried mushroom can generate about 21 USD profit.
